New Horizons

12.29.2009

MB Productions 2000, Inc. is changing the way it does business. If you've been here before, you've seen the changes that we've gone through over the years.

We started off simple and dark, then moved to something a little more professional, then moved to something a little more "out there", and now, we've come to rest on this new layout.

When we first came into operation, we were small. We were building and servicing computers. Now, we've grown to a point where we no longer fit the our original scope of operation. That isn't to say that we don't still do those things — quite the opposite. We still build and service computers, we still create web sites, and we still offer our original services and much, much more.

With the rate technology progresses, we've taken the measures to be sure that we progress along with it.

Principle Filming Complete

11.25.2009

MB Productions 200, Inc. wrapped up all principle filming of the upcoming Star Wars based fan film late last month and is in post-production. Followers of this fan film's production process have recently been informed that the release date has been pushed back, yet again.

Originally scheduled for a mid December release online, was pushed back two months due to certain unnamed complications. Mark Bogner, MB Productions Owner and Film's Co-Producer/Director, commented: "We had a few scheduling mishaps with some of the cast and crew, but we managed to get everything squared away. I think the biggest thing, now, is to focus all efforts on the editing process and putting everything in its place. We will get this done and it will be available for those who are still interested."

Filming Continues

08.10.2009

MB Productions 2000, Inc's work on a tribute to George Lucas' Star Wars Saga, continues to grow support from local actors.

Mark Bogner's time and effort have been spent slaving away, both in front of and behind a camera for his new Star Wars fan film, "Fall Of The Republic: Episode I, A Falling Hero". Bogner says, "My wife has been really supportive of my 'small project'. She's been happy that I've found a passion outside of the web and programming world."

A Falling Hero, to be released late this fall/early winter will have all of the same special effects that we've come to enjoy from the Star Wars saga; everything from Blasters to Lightsabers. Mark also says that his project was a little slow to get off the ground, but soon found the momentum needed to continue. Though scheduling has been somewhat of a problem with most of his local actors, he's not letting it get him down. He's still just as passionate as he was when he wrote the script.

With the help of another partner company, Probe International (probeinternational.com) — Mark and long time friend, James Pecchio (co-owner of Probe International), have been co-directing, writing and producing this film.

Look for it late this fall - early this winter.

MB Productions Tries Their Hands At Filmmaking

06.20.2009

MB Productions 2000, Inc is making a movie!

Yes, that's correct. MB Productions owner, Mark Bogner began working on a video presentation for another partner company and found a new niche with motion graphics and special effects — using Adobe After Effects in early 2009.

Since then, Bogner has dedicated his spare time to learning the process of filmmaking. He wrote his first (of many) drafts in April, 2009 and had found a special location for filming while traveling through Ohio.

Two days later, he placed a call to Erie Metro Parks for permission to utilize their property for filming. Erie was more than happy to issue a permit for filming his movie on their property, on the condition that he supply a copy of the film for them to host off of their web site (eriemetroparks.org). Mark Bogner was happy to agree to those terms, as he'd only envisioned hosting his movie for free off of this site.

With that in mind, he called his friends, and co-workers and began filming dreadfully early this morning.

Mark Bogner plans to release the movie, when finished, late Novemer - early December.
